WATER:
Water, along with oxygen, is the most important constituent for maintaining life. Therefore, the amount of water lost through urine, feces, sweat, and exhaled air must be replenished to maintain the body’s health and efficiency in digestion, absorption, circulation, and excretion. Recommendation for athletes: 10 to 12 glasses or more.
